http://www.hsph.harvard.edu/nutritionsource/what-should-you-eat/protein-full-story/#protein_package The author’s purpose was to inform people that they can eat meat but too much can cause cancer. They also said that white meat is healthier than dark meat. There is no bias or slant because it isn’t opinionated. The author’s viewpoint is that some meats can be good but others can be harmful and cause cancer. There is a little bit of conflicting evidence about eating meat, the author said don’t stop eating red meats but don’t eat it on a daily basis. White meats aren’t bad but some red meats can cause harm to your body. I would say this source is very reliable, because it is Harvard and that collage is very sophisticated.
Vegetarians VS Meat Eaters

http://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/showthread.php?t=669961 The purpose of this source is to persuade people to be vegetarians and not eat meat because they said, "Lifelong vegetarians visit hospital 22% less often than meat eaters and for shorter stays." The author’s viewpoint of the article is that people who become vegetarians live longer and have more successful lives, because they said, “If we eat the plants we grow instead of feeding them to animals, the world's food shortage will disappear virtually overnight. Remember that 100 acres of land will produce enough beef for 20 people but enough wheat to feed 240 people.” Also they said, “Vegetarians have a 20% lower blood cholesterol level than meat eaters and this reduces heart attack and cancer risks considerably.” The author doesn't have any conflicting evidence because if they did then they wouldn't be persuading them. This website is a little bit opinionated and it isn’t really biased, but it’s mostly facts. I would say this website is reliable but not if you want to write a paper on why people should be vegetarians.

Should I Become a Vegetarian?
The main idea of the Should I Become a Vegetarian Website is to help people decide whether becoming a vegetarian is a good or bad idea using different pros and cons. There is no specific or one sided view point of this article. The strong word choice helped me figure out the view point to this article. For example, " In 2010, each person in the US ate an average of 57.5 pounds of beef, 46.5 pounds of pork, and 82 pounds of chicken. Vegetarians, about 3.2% of the population, do not eat meat (including poultry and seafood). The US Department of Agriculture includes meat as a part of a balanced diet, but it also states that a vegetarian diet can meet "the recommended dietary allowances for nutrients."" This would be good to consider so the reader would know this article is not favouring one side.
This website consists of both, negative and positive facts about being a vegetarian or eating meat. An example of a pro for being a vegetarian but a con for eating meat on this website is, "It is cruel and unethical to kill animals for food. Animals are sentient beings that have social structures and emotions. Scientific studies have shown that cattle, pigs, chickens, and all warm-blooded animals can experience stress, pain, and fear." A con for being a vegetarian but a pro for eating meat would be, "Eating meat is not cruel or unethical. Every organism on earth dies, at some point, so others can live. There is nothing wrong with this cycle; it is how nature works."
The Should I Become a Vegetarian Website has good links supporting the website and article around the page you are looking at. Noticing that one ad let you take a quiz to see if you understand what you just read and if it processed. The other links around the page gave you more information about if you wanted to professionally cook meat or see what it looks like inside a slaughter house. On the toolbar of this website it has an area where you can contact or donate to them.
The Article was Last updated on 1/11/2012 2:53:58 PM PST That is showing that the information is accurate and up to date on its facts and posts. The website states,"Vegetarian ProCon.org is a nonpartisan, nonprofit website that presents facts, studies, and pro and con statements related to vegetarianism. This pro-con debate revolves around the vegetarian diet - not the vegan diet. For the purposes of this site a "vegetarian diet" is one that does not contain any meat (including poultry and seafood), but can contain eggs (ovo) and dairy (lacto) products, which is why the diet is sometimes called the ovo-lacto vegetarian diet. Vegans do not eat any animal products including meat, eggs, and dairy products."

WHY EATING MEAT IS HEALTHY
On the website http://www.livestrong.com/article/52929-eating-meat/, the article Why Eating Meat is Healthy states that eating meat is healthier than being a vegetarian. The main idea for this article is to inform vegetarians that by not eating meat, they do not get the the amino acid's (A simple organic compound containing both a carboxy| (COOH) and a amino (NH2) group) that provides, and claims you can't live healthy without.
The viewpoint of the article is that if you want to remain healthy, eating meat to get the nutrients for your body is the answer. Some of the word choice in this article is confusing and is hard to follow. For example, "Vegans must combine foods carefully to ensure they are consuming all the essential amino acids in the proper proportions--for instance, rice and beans eaten together contain all essential amino acids. Eating quality meat is healthy and fulfills the body's protein requirements." This website only warns you about why eating meat is good and healthy, but does have some good interviews and facts. For example, "
Meat contains the amino acid L-arginine, which "keeps a lid on your appetite and reduces body fat," according to Jillian Michaels, "Biggest Loser" strength trainer and author of "Master Your Metabolism."" Since she's a famous trainer, it's great that she had an interview.
It's odd that one of the sub titles says avoid Pork, since this website is big on meat eating. They're saying pork is unhealthy because pigs will eat anything, including things that are full of diseases. This website somewhat sides with the vegetarians on some things cause they also state that you should not eat packaged meats, canned sausages and pork. Why Eating Meat is Healthy does not put down anything about eating meat, and says things about being a vegetarian not being healthy. An example is, "Vegans must combine foods carefully to ensure they are consuming all the essential amino acids in the proper proportions or else they might adapt health hazards."
Some of the links and pictures on the side of the article are not relating at all to anything about eating meat. Some of the pictures advertising for Cruises and Blockbusters, and as far as we know that has nothing to do with eating meat. That slants my opinion on if this website would be a good and strong source for someone who is deciding to become a vegetarian or not.

Happy Cow: Animal Rights and Vegetarianism
(http://www.happycow.net/why_vegetarian.html)
The Animal Rights and Vegetarianism says all of their positive comments, only to support their side. They don't give any feedback about what they think is good about those who eat meat. This may change the opinion of other readers on eating meat because of the strong facts and word choice.
The main idea of the Animal Rights and Vegetarianism Website is to tell people, that eating meat is bad, while being a vegetarian is the right idea to do. The view of The Animal Rights and Vegetarianism is that not eating meat will not only save the lives of millions of animals, but can also be very healthy diet. The strong emotion and word choice really helped me get a viewpoint on the message the author is trying to tell us. For example, "Modern high-pressure agriculture commonly keeps cows, calves, pigs, chickens, turkeys, ducks, and other animals in overcrowded stalls, cages, crates, or sheds where they are often unable to turn around or take even a single step for their entire lives", showing that not only are these animals being killed, but abused along the way. This would be important to look at, when you look down at your plate or what you are eating.
The happy cow website has a strong passion against slaughtering animals and what is really on your plate, but also states that being a vegetarian, is better for your body and does not put down anything about being Vegetation. For example, a plant-based vegetarian diet is healthier and can prevent diseases. According to the American Dietetic Association, vegetarians have a reduced risk of heart diseases, obesity, colon cancer, adult-onset diabetes, osteoporosis, gout, gallstones, kidney stones, lung cancer, and breast cancer."
The Animal Rights and Vegetarianism says all of their positive comments, only to support their side. They don't give any feedback about what they think is good about those who eat meat. This may change the opinion of other readers on eating meat because of the strong facts and word choice.
The links connected to this website show PETA (People of the Ethical Treatment of Animals) which is a strong animal loving website also showing other reasons why being a vegetarian is better. Another ad that I noticed was one that showed the amount of animals that were slaughtered as you entered this website, full of many different land animals. That could make a person realize how many animals are possibly being slaughtered in the few seconds since they opened this window, again, showing that being a Vegetarian is better then killing animals for food.
